Best Practices for Deploying Engineering Simulation

Some companies make extensive use of engineering simulation using approaches developed over many years with mature processes that provide significant business value. However, other companies are newer to engineering simulation or have deployed it in only a subset of the areas where it can be beneficial.

This webinar provides highlights of a document being produced by the NAFEMS ASSESS Business Theme that provides a high level overview of the approaches used by leading companies to ensure that engineering simulation has the greatest impact on their business, and the different areas where deployment of simulation should be considered.

A​bout the presenter

Roger Keene is the Chair of the ASSESS Business Theme Committee and a business consultant and facilitator. He retired from Dassault Systemes in 2018 where he was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Operations for the SIMULIA brand, responsible for sales, customer support, training and services for all of Dassault Systemes simulation products, particularly the Abaqus finite element software. He led the integration of several simulation companies and their products into Dassault Systemes, including CST, PowerFlow, X-Flow, Simpack, Wave6, Tosca and Isight. Roger came to Dassault Systemes when it acquired ABAQUS, Inc (previously known as HKS) in 2005. He has a Masters in Engineering from Cambridge University in the UK and worked at Arup consulting engineers and MSC Software, prior to joining ABAQUS.
