Design and Simulation of an Inverter Power Module for an Electric Vehicle

Resource Abstract

In this article, we will look at the design the simulation aspects of a three phase inverter power module. The fast switching speeds at which the inverters have to operate together with the high power rating pose a number of design challenges such as thermal management, EMC compliance, and reliability. In this paper, we will use simulations to understand these challenges and evaluate different design choices.
