Design for Sustainability with Virtual and Real Data

Abstract

The world is experiencing the biggest threat to its existence in the history of humanity on the planet. With a global population projected to hit 10 billion by 2050, depletion and exhaustion of natural resources, and observable climatic impacts on our habitats and way of life, global manufacturing is having to pivot towards both a digital transformation post the COVID-19 pandemic yet meet tighter legislative sustainability targets such as those for CO2 emissions. This presentation will show how a combination of CAE design & engineering simulations and sensor data can be at the forefront of delivering real green tech solutions for sustainability outcomes with several examples to illustrate the concept of ?design for sustainability?.
