Accelerating Development of Aerospace and Defense Systems with electromagnetic Simulation

The NAFEMS Eastern European 2020 Virtual Conference took place on the 23rd and 24th of September 2020. The event gave participants access to high level presentations in the field of structural mechanics, computational fluid dynamics, electromagnetics and discrete element methods.

Resource Abstract

Digitization, connectivity, new materials and rapid development cycles are key technology and innovation factors impacting the aerospace and defense industries. Such factors come with important challenges. On one hand, organizations from such industries deal with diverse and wide portfolios of products, including many different platforms like airplanes, drones, vehicles, ships and satellites. On the other hand, communication, navigation and radar systems are becoming more complex, considering also their long and costly testing and certification processes. In this scenario, electromagnetic simulation has become essential.

In this presentation we will talk about electromagnetic simulation solutions combining antenna design and installed antenna performance with radio coverage analysis, complex radome design, wireless connectivity and radio frequency interference, besides applications like scattering and radar cross-section.
