Excel for Engineers and other STEM Professionals - Part 7: News! Dynamic Arrays in Excel


This is not the article I planned for this issue but it would beimpossible to continue the series discussing array formulaswithout addressing the massive changes announced by John Campbell and Joe McDaid at Microsoft Ignite held in Florida at the end of September [1]. In future any formula that references an array where a value is expected will return a dynamic array as its result; ‘Ctrl+Shift+Enter’ (CSE) will no longer be required for ‘normal’ array formulae.
