Benchmarking Accuracy and Parallel Performance of an Open Source Framework for Fluid Structure Interaction Problems

The term multiphysics is a broad one, covering a range of modelling andsimulation methodologies encompassing multiple physical domains. Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) falls under this umbrella and involves, as the namesuggests, the interaction between two physical domains, the fluid and the structure. This interdependence makes the problems highly non-linear and often timeconsuming and difficult to solve.
