NAFEMS Americas hosted its biennial regional conference on July 9-11, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

The 2024 NAFEMS Americas Conference brought together the leading visionaries, developers, and practitioners of CAE-related technologies in an open forum, unlike any other, to share experiences, discuss relevant trends, discover common themes, and explore future issues, including:

  • What is the future for engineering modeling, analysis and simulation?
  • Where will it lead us in the next decade?
  • How can designers and engineers realize its full potential?
  • What are the business, technological, and human enablers that will transform previous successful developments into new levels during the next ten years?

This conference covered a wide range of topics, addressing every aspect of engineering modeling, analysis and simulation during a 2.5-day program. The key themes this conference addressed were:

  • Simulation-Driven Design (...of Physical Systems, Components & Products)
  • Implementing a Simulation Governance Ecosystem with an Engineering Simulation Maturity Framework, Including Verification, Validation & Uncertainty Quantification
  • Exploiting Engineering Simulation and Optimization for Competitive Manufacturing Processes & Additive Manufacturing
  • Addressing Business Strategies, Challenges & Advanced Technologies (e.g., Integrating Engineering Simulation Digitalization within a Digitally Transformed Core Business Ecosystem)
  • Frontiers of Data-Science Based Engineering Simulations Founded on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL) & AI Physics Models
