Organisations today rely more than ever on Modelling and Simulation to develop and deliver their products. Many are striving to incorporate the latest innovative technologies into their increasingly complex products. Every business wants to speed up the development and verification process, and to reduce development, product and production costs. Organisations are seeking to reduce or eliminate physical testing, some even to achieve virtual certification. Business leaders are asking how Artificial Intelligence will help them achieve their business goals.

In trying to achieve these goals, it is tempting for organisations to focus on the latest cutting-edge technology, or technique, or one aspect of capability, such as tools. In reality, a prerequisite for success is to pay equivalent attention to the fundamentals. Indeed, a balanced and consistent approach across the organisation, to address each element of Modelling and Simulation capability is essential, including; processes, methods, tools, models, data, people, and compute infrastructure. Remember, overall capability will only be as strong as the weakest link.

Business leaders therefore, need to clarify their goals and expectations for M&S and establish what will be required to achieve these goals. They then need to establish their organisations current position, so that they can identify those areas requiring improvement and how this will be achieved. A prioritised balanced roadmap can then be established.

To achieve their goals, organisations need to pay attention to their Modelling and Simulation capability. They need to define where they want to be, measure their current capability, and build a roadmap to get there. In short, they need to take a strategic approach, and this webinar explains how.
