Simulation, typically by finite element analysis (FEA) or
computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is well established in many
engineering companies for product and process development. Tasks
such as optimising products and manufacturing processes by
simulation are now well proven. Nevertheless, there remains a large
number of companies who are either not getting the best return from
their investment in simulation technology, or are still considering
investing in the technology.
